What... yet another scrolltext!!! Yep....... It's a new game and scrolltext from HAl ~~........ and believe it or not the music is being played by Hugo Fiennes' moderately excellent SoundTracker module player (the tune by the way is called "Hit Squad"~ and bears the name Dr. Awesome~ in the module). I hope you like the Marble Font~ ---- the game wasn't going to have a scrolltext originally but it fits in quite well --------- this is fast enough to read easily and }it can even go faster!!! But wait !!!! { I haven't got round to explaining about the game yet --------------- MadDash ~~ - the instructions - The object of the game is to help Jimmy get t~he balloons of VERY hot so~up and carry them back home where they can cool down, the balloons must be carried with Jim's trousers as they have been specially made for this job!!! All the time Acid Rain ~is falling from ICI so Jim ~has to be careful that the rain doesn't hit his head or shoulders but he can be hit on the rest of his body as he is wearing "Rain Proof"~ clothes !!!! ---------------------- Use 'B' left ~& 'M' right ~, with 'P' pause ~& 'O' unpause~ ---- when paused use S sound on ~& Q sound off~. Press "SPACE" ~to start - Have fun!!!! Hang on though this scrolltext isn't through, but I'll speed things up a little ..........}...... This demo was created in about 2.5 days pretty solid work when I should have been revising, eventually finished on 2nd June 1990. The program uses the "UserVoices" sound module from Risc User as I couldn't be bothered to mess about with my own sounds!!! Most of the sprites were designed using !Paint ~& the font was designed on Art Nouveau~ ----- not that I really like using either of them much as, if I do anything on Art Nouveau then I have to convert it into MODE 13 before I can use it........(why doesn't someone write a package to work in any mode -like !Paint- but with better features??????) ------}-----Many other demos feel it is necessary to bore the pants off the people watching the demo by saying how their code works in long and technical detail --- well for those of you who like that sort of thing you are quite welcome to examine the program as it is in BASIC ~apart from the scrolltext, but for the more normal person I shall skip that bit ........{...... that's better the scrolltext is now readable again! Now a quick joke (you've probably all heard it before but...) : "Mummy, mummy can I play with grandad?" ----- "No, you've dug him up 3 times already this week!!" }Ha Ha Ha Ha { Well I thought it was quite amusing, ok then I'll try again ----- this one was told to me by a good friend Matthew Pan~esh~ :- .........nah it's too unclean to be told in an innocent scrolltext like this!!!
